Sources
You must have a list of all
your sources. If you have used one book as a main book then that
is called a primary source.
- All sources must be found
in the bibliography.
(see Useful links)
- The words from another writer
must be indicated by the use of quotation marks and a
reference to the source. The Harvard method is using brackets.
- If you have specific ideas
in your text that come from another writer you must
make a reference.
- If you copy parts of a book
or another work without making notes about it then that
is called plagiarism and it is theft! If you steal maybe
you should reconsider your choice of career. Stealing
does not belong to the world of science!
(Also check bibliography.)
- It is also very important
that you are critical when you choose between different
sources. Not all sources are reliable and some even deliberately want
to mislead you.
