Your Assignment

Watch the interviews of Caroline and Jeff and then choose which person you would like to present in a telephone conference. Use your imagination and your powers of deduction on one of the following topics. When you are ready, contact your teacher for a telephone conference.

• Finding a home

You have now got to know a person through this interview. Listen to the interview again this time thinking of the questions below. Take notes while listening. A real estate agency has asked you to find a suitable home for this man/woman here in Sweden. Where would this person like to live: in a city or in the country side, in the north or the south? Why? What kind of a house would be suitable? Why? What kind of area/surroundings would this person like to have? Why? Her/his interests might play an important part in all of this. Remember to reflect on the video clip and refer to the things you have heard/seen.

• What do we have in common?

You have now listened to a person and got a general picture of his/her life. Does her/his life remind you of your own? Reflect on the things you have just heard: Are you in the same situation in your life? Can you find parallels when it comes to the interests of this person and your own interests regarding politics, culture, hobbies? What about the future?
