Instructions

Giving instructions is not too difficult. Why should I study it now?

Doing the job better!

With more and more technology coming into our daily lives, both at home and at work, it is often necessary to listen to, or give, instructions on how these new things work!

Although the grammatical structure of giving instructions is relatively easy, we can improve our ability to carry out this task by concentrating on doing the job more exactly. This means a bit of a review of common nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, as well as some thought as to how the instruction will be given.

The single most important thing to think about, however, is the receiver of the information. ‘How much do they already know?’, ‘how much new knowledge can they take in?’.

This unit should help you to do the job - just that little bit better!
