Welcome to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ page). Below, we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to this our Web site may have.

When I press the presentation button I can hear the music, but I can’t see anything. What have I done wrong?

The presentation is a pop-up window. If you press the ‘presentation’ button, then press it again before the pop-up window shows,  the pop-up window will disappear behind the main window. The easiest way to get the pop-up window back again is to go to a new page and then return. This will also cut off the music. Click on the ‘presentation’ button again - and wait a few seconds for the pop-up window to appear.

There are a number of pop-up windows throughout this course. Try to avoid clicking on the main window before they appear, otherwise the above mentioned problem could occur.

Why is the ‘stop sounds’ button hidden away at the top of the page?

We have tried as far as possible to recreate a classroom feeling to this course. As part of this effort we have included a teacher giving spoken information about the content of most pages.

In the normal classroom it is not usual for a course participant to click on a button to make the teacher be quiet! However, in a distance course we appreciate that it might not be always convenient to have to listen to the teacher from start to finish, so we have provided an ‘emergency’ button to stop all sounds. It does, though, require a little effort to get to this button!

Why do I have to wait a few seconds for the audio to begin?

The audio is “streamed” to you over the Internet. This is a much quicker way to play audio than to load the audio before playing. It does however mean a slight delay before the audio plays. Please be patient!
