Using a word processor
to fill in an online form

If you have to write a longer text then it can be smarter to write using a word processor than writing it directly in the form box, for example when writing your opening statement in the debate. It is easier to change text in, for example, Word and you can also use the spell checker. Before you move text from your word processor to the text box you should think of a few things. Do not format the text, eg no bold, italics or underlined text, no large headings or strange fronts. None of this will show in the online text.

  • Press enter twice every time you want a new paragraph: otherwise it will be a new line and not a new paragraph in the form.

When you have finished writing your text:

  1. Click on Edit /Redigera on the menu and then Select all/Markera allt.
  2. Click on Edit/Redigera and choose Copy/Kopiera.
  3. Change to theonline-form.
  4. Click in the box where you want to paste in the text (you will see a blinking cursor).
  5. In your browser click on Edit/Redigera on the menu and choose Paste/Klistra.
