Referring to sources

In your text you must refer to the sources you have used in order to avoid plagiarism. 

As prescribed by Modern Language Association and the Harvard system, you must use references within brackets in the text.

Example:

These types of mistakes have been known to happen before (Tomkins 1992: 34-35).

or

As Tomkins points out, these types of mistakes have been known to happen before (1992:34-35).
